Project Manager - Cloud Storage Migration Projectworking with an Insurance Company for an initial 6-month contract, this will be paying between up to £627 per day (inside IR35). The client offers Hybrid Working, 2-3 days per week in the London office.

Job Summary

• Will be managing the internal communications; 3rd party co-ordination and business testing


• Experience of data centre migrations and Cloud Storage essential


• AWS experience


• Whilst not delivering on the IT elements of our data centre migration an understanding the technical aspects is desirable


• Same basic job description as the other PM position I sent you but this is focused on Cloud Separation Migration

Main Responsibilities

Delivery & Planning

• Define project scope and deliverables that support business goals with senior management and stakeholders, ensuring risks identified and mitigated, resources identified, and preparatory work completed.


• Manage stakeholders from team members through to senior managers making sure there is buy-in, minimising road-blocks, and ensuring continued commitment.


• Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.


• Understand and apply appropriate project disciplines.


• Track project milestones and deliverables.


• Determine the frequency and content of project team status reports, analyse results, and troubleshoot problem areas.

People and Budget Management

• Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.


• Where necessary, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required internal personnel and matrix manage.


• Develops and maintains robust relationships with key business and IT stakeholders to ensure business analysis, development, test and implementation activities are visible and in line with agreed expectations.

Operational and Quality Management

• Facilitate workshops for any aspect of the project including design, planning, tracking and problem resolution.


• Ensure sign off by appropriate review boards for key aspects of the project (e.g. technical solution).


• Contribute research into fit for purpose solutions that meet company and group standards.

Communication

• The ability to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders up to and including CEO, with clear and concise communication.


• Writes and speaks fluently on all aspects of work and communicates effectively with all levels of management.
