The Position
As a Project Manager working predominantly within the Gas industry but potentially covering wider utilities and infrastructure, key responsibilities will include;
- Develop and maintain a positive safety ethos both within the team and through the impact of the Capital project team's activities to meet the client company's EHS objectives through the effective delivery of projects.
- Responsible for compliance with client Process Safety procedures and ensuring compliance with CDM (where appropriate) for projects that have been assigned.
- Manage project commercials under the NEC4 Form of contract.
- Initiate and co-ordinate the timely preparation of Non-Routine Operation (NRO) documents as may be required.
- Where appropriate input into development of designs in line with the Formal Process Safety Assessments (FPSA) process including attending HAZID, HAZOP, HAZCON events.
- Mentor colleagues through the project delivery process to ensure successful handover.
- Produce time and cost forecasts for each commission for submission to client.
- Upkeep of all contract administration documentation on both internal and Client SharePoint platforms.
- Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to produce the optimum outcomes for the Client across multiple concurrent projects.
- Increase exposure with key clients and generate business development leads to support the service leads.
The Candidate
As a potentially suitable candidategas industry experience is strongly preferred although wider utilities experience will be considered. Candidates must have NEC3/4 working knowledge and an APMP/ AMP PMQ (Project Management Qualification) / PRINCE 2 or equivalent qualification is preferred.
You should be familiar with Safety Management procedures for working on gas projects and ideally will have NEC3/4 accreditation and be experienced in managing projects under CDM Regulations.
As an experienced Project Manager you should already have effective communication, report writing and interpersonal skills and Project management skills including organisational and diligent skills.
