Working Hours:    35 Hours Per Week / Full Time

Contract Type:   12 Months Temporary

Closing Date: 9 June 2024

 
Based in the Health Improvement and Wellbeing team within the Department of Public Health, the role holder will manage and contribute to delivery of various projects with a focus on Children, Young People and Families, and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)/trauma informed practice. They will work in partnership with NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care, Children and Education Services, Commissioned Providers, Criminal Justice, Housing, VCSE and Arts sectors ensuring that on-going activities are strategically relevant, meet the identified need and agreed outcomes and deliver good quality/value for money.

We are looking for people who are passionate about improving the health of people living in Manchester and understand the inequalities faced by some groups of people in our city.

Candidates should be well organised and able to juggle competing priorities, be good at problem solving and making decisions, and skilled at developing trust and relationships. They will have an awareness and understanding of the health and wellbeing needs of children young people and families resident in Manchester; together with an awareness of trauma and how it can impact individuals, families, and communities.
