£19.5m Towns Fund awarded to Swindon to deliver a series of major projects across the town centre has opened an opportunity for new talent to join our regeneration team.
We are seeking a Client-Side Project Manager to work within the Property Assets portfolio. You will be responsible for the delivery of £10m of projects to SBC owned listed buildings funded by the Towns Fund, under the supervision of the Strategic Lead for Carriage Works.
Your next role
As part of the role, you will manage the progress of projects within given timescales, ensuring on going works are inspected. Contract managing delivery to quality standards and compliance. Ensuring we deliver the completed regeneration projects for our end tenants and funding bodies. You will undertake technical appraisals of schemes, including analysis of project drawings and contract documents. Working with a professional design team to agree planning and listed buildings consent for the scheme.
You will have experience of working in a construction delivery role, working with professional services including Architects, mechanical and electrical engineers, Cost Consultants and working with local authority regulatory services. You will be able to demonstrate experience of working closely with others, as part of a team, with a professional, friendly and tactful manner.
You will be someone who has an interest in working for and contributing to the regeneration of a major Heritage Asset and listed premises, to deliver new highly accessible and exclusive premises for businesses in central Swindon.
You will also have good communication skills, both written and verbal, proficiency with MS Office programmes including project, excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work. Understanding of financial processes and transactions would also be beneficial.
In ‘normal’ circumstances, you will be located at Wat Tyler West 2nd floor on the main Civic campus, with time onsite at the Carriage Works as necessary. This role does however also allow for the flexibility of some working from home.
