The Regional Improvement Plan Pilot is a 12-18-month programme of work with 4 workstreams, Partnerships, Practice Model, Sufficiency and Workforce. Each workstream is sponsored by a Director for Children Services from across the region and it constituent sub-collaborative partnerships. The workforce workstream is being led by Manchester’s Director for Children Services and is focused on developing a regional approach to building a stable and confident workforce.
This is a genuine opportunity for the right person to develop their strategic, planning, thinking and skills whilst making a significant contribution to improving children’s lives.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a track record of supporting complex projects, ideally in the social care or Workforce Improvement area. You will work closely with partners and networks across the region to develop and deliver several strands of activity which achieve objectives and regional wide benefits.
The role requires someone with experience of improvement project management who can deliver at pace whilst also building effective working relationships with key stakeholders and networks across the region.
This role will be based at Manchester Town Hall Extension but can take a hybrid approach to working at home or across the region. It will sit within the HRODT team at Manchester City Council. You will work closely with the HR Business Partner at Manchester, but it will report directly to the Strategic Director of Children's and Education.
