What's involved with this role:
Interim Project Officer - Housing Services
Reference no: Rugby (HQ) TCL RBC16604
Pay Rate: £25.13 per hour PAYE
37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours
This opening assignment is for 6 months
City: RUGBY
Hybrid - 2 days in the office
To work independently but under the direction of the Housing Services Manager to develop and deliver a review of the Independent Living (including the redesignation of stock project) and Lifeline services within the Council, based around a recently received consultancy report.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare initiation documents, project briefs, option appraisals, project plans, project risk registers and specifications.
Research options for service delivery including recommendations that contain costings and feasibility assessments.
To deliver projects in compliance with the corporate project delivery methodology, engaging the advice and support of other stakeholders as appropriate to manage risk and ensure quality delivery within budget.
Organize and carry out consultation exercises.
Produce information for service users in a variety of formats.
Provide individual advice and assistance to service users who require it.
Record content of meetings – take minutes, record attendance, use visual methods of representing key information.
Draft and help prepare data, in various formats, for key stakeholders, including Senior Officers, Elected Members and contractors.
Write or update any required policies & procedures relating to the Independent Living and Control Centre services.
Set up new ways of working within the Teams, working in conjunction with the Housing Officers for Independent Living & Control Centre Supervisors.

Qualifications:
Full membership of the Chartered Institute of Housing or equivalent qualification. (desirable)
Full current driving licence and use of a vehicle for work purposes. (desirable)
Knowledge:
Understanding of the current housing issues and the local and national political and social framework within which local authority Housing Services operate.
Exeperience:
Experience of working in social housing or a related field
Previous project management experience within the social housing or related sector.
Experience of working in an Independent Living or Lifeline Service (desirable)
Skills & Abilities:
Strong IT skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritising own workload and meeting deadlines.
Ability to investigate issues and develop recommendations for action.
Ability to produce written reports in a timely & accurate way
Ability to deal with pressurised situations in a controlled and effective manner.
