Project Planner

Project Planner / Yeovil / £17 per hour
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our client, a leading Aerospace and Defence Organisation as a Project Planner. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules in alignment with contract requirements and company policies. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the integrity of planning outputs throughout the project lifecycle by liaising with key stakeholders and implementing effective schedule control processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement project schedules in accordance with contracted scope, delivery dates, and financial baselines.
• Maintain and control project schedule baselines, incorporating any contracted amendments and communicating changes as per company procedures.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely processing of schedule updates, driving quality and integrity of project schedules.
• Monitor progress, analyse schedule forecast changes, and identify potential threats, conducting critical path and 'what if' analyses as needed.
• Prepare reports to support schedule and cost control, coordinating variance analysis and driving corrective actions.
• Raise Baseline Change Requests for contract changes and ensure compliance with company guidelines.
• Attend project meetings to ensure understanding of overall progress and developments.
• Flexibility to deploy in other areas as required.

Qualifications:

• Self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience in project scheduling and familiarity with planning principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project or similar planning tools.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.

This is a temporary contract with the potential to extend.

37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
