The role
As a Project Planning Capability Lead, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. The Project Planning Capability Lead role is based within our Gunnery Programme of our Mission Systems business area. We are a growing business unit with aspirations to become the gunnery centre of excellence for the Royal Navy providing Overhaul and In Service Support of Royal Navy weapon systems.
Day to day, you'll developing, implement and lead on the schedule management approach of a variety of different weapon systems contracts, as well as:
  • Report on project performance against the baseline
  • Embed schedule management plans, governance and assurance whilst leading on the development/baselining and maintenance of a robust integrated project schedule.
  • Ensure alignment between the integrated scheduling toolsets and the companies financial and material demand toolset.

This role is a hybrid role with 1-2 days per week onsite at Ashton House, Bristol
Essential experience of the Project Planning Capability Lead:
  • Extensive recent and relevant experience in a similar environment / business sector
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of using Primavera P6
  • Experience of undertaking, or supporting, Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (I.e. Monte Carlo)
  • An understanding of EVM and using it to report project health (I.e. SPI CPI)

Qualifications for the Project Planning Capability Lead:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance for this role.
