About the Role

Base Location: Preferred Reading or Perth but we're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSEN offices or depots around the UK.

Salary: £44,195-£50,611 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The purpose of this job is to lead a team of Project Controls Analysts to ensure the provision of consistent and timely reporting to support the Capex portfolio. Through analysing data and validating outputs the role holder will ensure accurate reporting across project controls. The role holder will be responsible for developing insights which identify areas for delivery improvement and enable proactive management of projects. The role holder will implement and manage the governance framework and ensure that there are effective project controls processes to manage the delivery of large capital projects.

- Provide overall oversight across Project Controls Analysts promoting performance culture, development and continuous improvement

- Manage the implementation and execution of the portfolio governance framework ensuring there is a single version of the truth

- Manage analysis of data and engagement on insights

- Ensure that project systems are fit for purpose and hold accurate data

- Provide general support with data analytics and manipulation to the business.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- An excellent understanding and demonstrable experience managing Project Controls and governance cycles or a relevant academic qualification

- An understanding of large capital project management with experience of collating, analysing and interrogating data

- Experience of managing and implementing performance improvements using data driven decisions

- Experience managing a team of people, and driving high quality and collaborative working including ability to manage competing priorities and different stakeholder requirements

- A passion for the Distribution business and the drive towards net-zero.
