UBT are proud to be partnering with a truly unique innovative family run SME business based in Chichester who are currently seeking a Project Sales Consultant to join their team. The company are one of the largest in the UK with clients stretching from the UK, Europe and globally with ambitions on growing their brand across multiple countries. With sustainability and green spaces an ever growing concern this business specialise in living green walls and roof façade projects working with construction contractors/architects across the UK. As a Sales Consultant you will have broad commercial skills and a strong background in selling whilst understanding the commercial drivers, risk profiles and key success factors for clients procuring construction works.
Key duties and responsibilities....
- Submit tenders/contract proposals and follow up
- Drive and create appointments (scoping calls, quote presentations etc) to meet with contractors/clients to generate leads, secure new orders and identify holdups or irregularities
- Coordinating sales activities in liaison with other relevant departments such as operations and finance
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients/contractors
- Ensure system is updated accurately and consistently with actions, tasks, progress, and updates on opportunities
- Identify and close sales opportunities, selling to projects from between £100,000 to £500,000
- Post contract liaison with clients
- Post contract liaison with design team
Requirements
- CRM training
- Product training
- Experience in selling in a construction-based industry
- Experienced in long sales cycle
- Good working knowledge of forms of contract currently used within the Building and Civil Engineering industry
- Good IT skills - particularly Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- High degree of personal motivation
- Commercial acumen
- Ability to work as part of a close-knit team and manage numerous opportunities/projects simultaneously - both short and long term.
- Ability to work on own initiative and with the minimum of supervision
- Flexibility with regard to working across all areas of the business, and hours to meet the requirements of this challenging position.
