Project & Sales Coordinator

 

Job Location:              Poole, Dorset

 

Job Type:                      Permanent

 

Salary:                          £25,000 - £28,000 per annum (Depending on level of experience) + exceptional company bonus

 

Hours:                          Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm

 

Benefits:                      23 days holiday plus banks (31 days holiday) rising with service to 28 days holidays plus banks (36 days holiday), pension, free onsite parking, excellent working environment

 

One of the UK’s largest distributors of engineered supplies are seeking a Project & Sales Coordinator to join their friendly team in Poole.

 

This role will see you building rapport and looking after B2B customer accounts by establishing any upcoming projects and advising them of the current catalogue of products along with their lead times and availability.

 

As you will be growing and looking after your own customer accounts, you will need to be someone who enjoys taking the time to get to know your customers and their requirements as the aim will be to establish long-term relationships over time.

 

The key duties for this position will include:

 

  • Owning and looking after customer accounts, providing an excellent service via telephone and email
  • Taking the time to find out about upcoming projects and requirements and booking calls in nearer to the time
  • Producing quotations and following them up to ensure they meet customer requirements with the view of converting them to sales
  • Obtaining data from customers relating to their requirements and keeping them up to date with prices and product availability
  • Loading sales orders on to the system in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Provide relevant information and support to customers by assisting with enquiries regarding orders, quotations, product information, status, lead times, costs and deliveries.
  • General office administration duties including making sure databases are kept up to date with customer communications and actions.

 

The successful applicant will:

 

  • Have previous experience in either a customer service, sales or business development role where you have looked after your own customer accounts
  • Experience of working with business customers
  • Have excellent attention to detail, highly organised and have a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Self-motivated and results driven
  • Confident working on your own as much as you enjoy working collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
  • Strong PC skills and Microsoft programmes including Excel
