Deploy Recruitment has partnered with one of the biggest overseers of industrial engineering projects in the UK for a long-term project in West Brom.
We are currently looking for experienced individuals who can fulfil and carry out the expected duties and responsibilities required of a Storeman.
These expectations are as follows:
Deliveries:
- Print and file P.O.s; enter details in Excel.
- Sign delivery notes as "unchecked," verify items, and report issues to procurement.
- Raise and sign goods return notes for incorrect/damaged items.
- Enter delivery notes into SAP and file with P.O.s.
- Engineers inspect non-general items upon delivery.
COSHH:
- Store COSHH items in a locked cabinet with data sheets.
Procurement:
- Maintain stock levels of consumables and PPE.
- Raise purchase requests on SAP for consumables and PPE.
Materials Management:
- Process materials request forms, prepare items for collection, and maintain documentation.
- Hold weekly meetings to discuss upcoming material/plant needs.
PPE Log:
- Maintain a signed log of all issued PPE.
Waste Management:
- Manage on-site waste disposal and keep waste transfer notices.
Security:
- Ensure secure storage of materials and plant, maintain cleanliness, and restrict access to cables.
Project Vehicles:
- Ensure compliance and regular checks of project vehicles and report defects.
Plant Management:
- Assign unique fleet numbers, maintain PUWER/LOLER records, and ensure proper issuance and inspection of plant equipment.
- Use the Stores mate App for issuing plant and perform pre-use and weekly inspections.
LOLER/Calibrated Equipment:
- Issue and track test certificates, arrange re-tests and perform PAT testing every three months.
Stores/Yard Maintenance:
- Keep areas clean, tidy, and free of hazards. Secure upright items to prevent accidents.
Required Competencies
Computer (excel/word) sap separate training.
Communication (English speaking)
Full UK driving licence (over 25 to drive company vehicles)
Methodical
Basic electrical/mech knowledge.
Fit and healthy (manual handling training to be given some heavy lifting)
