We have a brand-new opportunity for a Project Support Officer to join our Children’s Commissioning Team here at Wokingham Borough Council on a 2-year fixed term contract.
As the Project Support Officer, you will take responsibility for facilitating and supporting a portfolio of projects related to SEND Commissioning, working closely with a number of colleagues across the Commissioning Service and wider Children’s Services. This is a truly exciting role and an excellent time to join us, as we look to recruit to a range of key positions, that will contribute to the delivery of an ambitious strategic improvement programme across SEND.
The Children’s Commissioning Team covers SEND, Education, Early Years, Social Care and Early Help.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project support across a number of projects including arranging project group meetings, taking minutes and producing action logs.
- Develop and keep under review project documents/toolkit for use across the service
- Liaise with a range of stakeholders including schools, parents, and a Children’s Services
Candidate requirements:
- Strong Project Support skills and experience
- Excellent organisational skills, communication and interpersonal skills as well as a good attention to detail
- Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of MS Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Confident use of SharePoint sites to support management information.
- A keen interest in improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND
- Enjoys working in a fast passed environment
