The Bridge Project is a church-based day drop-in service for people facing homelessness, providing practical assistance with breakfast and hot lunches, laundry facilities, showers and toiletries, food parcels and clothes. Clients can access direct support from our Support Staff, as well as from third-party service providers including Housing, Drug and Alcohol Services, Nurses, and Mental Health teams. You will be intentional about integrating the homelessness and addictions work with the wider life of our Church.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver a range of in-house support provisions designed to achieve successful outcomes
Facilitate regular client meetings, completing and updating individual support plans as required
Provide relevant and suitable options of external support provision, when identified support needs cannot be met through in-house provision
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
Previous experience of working in a setting supporting vulnerable clients with knowledge of common support pathways
Ability to use your initiative in problem solving for the benefit of clients and colleagues
The ability to understand and successfully implement processes, procedures and policies related to your area of work
Demonstrable good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information to clients in a clear, effective and professional manner
