MillTech has an exciting position with their client in Milton Keynes.
The company is a Global Automotive testing and quality assurance company who are growing their project support team.
They have enjoyed fantastic growth period through 2023 due to the high demands for the services in ICE, Hybrid and EV Powertrain testing.
You will be joining a growing Projects team working on the following:
- Responsible for the fabrication, manufacture, fitting, assembly, welding and machining of equipment, materials and structures to allow the quick introduction of a DUT (device under test) to a test cell
- Work closely with the Project Support & Facility Engineers during upgrade and modification works
- Instrumentation of turbos, catalytic converters, motors, plant pipes, cylinder blocks etc.
- Manufacture bespoke adaptors and fittings
- Modification of exhaust systems, plant/chiller pipes, fuel lines etc.
- Pressure/leak testing of systems and subsequent repair
- Working on alternating shift pattern 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm (overtime available)
To succeed in this position we are seeking a Project Technician with the following skills and experience:
- Proven background in Fabrication, welding, plasma cutting, machining
- Metal work experience including cutting, drilling and bending etc.
- Familiar with the modification of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
- Good communicator
- Knowledge of Propulsion test cells is a plus and not essential
