THE COMPANY:
Our client, is a rapidly growing and award winning court reporting and legal technology business. They offer world-leading technology services to legal firms in the UK and globally. Currently, they are looking for a Proofreader to join their team on a permanent basis.
THE ROLE:
The Proofreader's duties will include:
- Working on live cases on a delayed turnaround, adhering to strict deadlines
- Using the Editing Suite and providing regular feedback to the Line manager
- Receiving regular individual feedback alongside a wider team feedback and training sessions via MS Teams
- Working on a mix of transcripts, including court evidence, judgements, telephone calls and witness statements
- You will be required (once fully trained) to edit a minimum of 90 minutes of audio each day
THE PERSON:
- Self motivated individual
- A degree in linguistics or English Literature/Language
- Confident in using Microsoft Office, especially Word and Outlook
- The ability to proof read with accurate attention to detail
- Proficient in researching
- Open to learning new systems
