Adecco are recruiting for 2x Property Advisors / Lettings Officer to join a West-London local authority on a temporary basis, working on a specific project to clear a backlog of void properties to let, ensuring compliance certificates are in place, meter debts are cleared and fobs and keys are available for the tenant.

Must Haves:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Access to own vehicle
  • Business insurance on vehicle (if you do not already have this, this can be arranged should you be successful)
  • Ability to sign up / have knowledge on the sign-up process
  • Be proactive and able to work under pressure

This role is Hybrid, a lot of the time will be expected for the Officer to be out on site carrying out viewings and sign ups, however, the Council have a policy that everyone should be in the office at least twice per week. The successful applicant therefore needs to be in a reasonably commutable area to the Borough of Ealing.

Duties:

  • Carrying out viewings and sign ups
  • Liaising with applicants and managing their expectations on move dates
  • Identifying support needs and tenancy responsibilities including rent payments liaising with other internal departments such as central rents, allocations and Housing Services
  • Advising Housing Services when properties are ready for temporary decant and providing all relevant documents including compliance certificates.
  • Keeping data up to date in the Housing Management system and spreadsheets.
  • Experience of using any of the following systems would be advantageous: OHMS, Locata, Tru Compliance, DocuSign, TSM, CORE, Enterprise, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.

You will have a specific patch of around 100 properties, first 2 weeks would be shadowing existing Letting Officer on patch and receiving handover from them on their knowledge of the area and the properties - week 1 to shadow experienced LBE letting Officer - 2nd week to carry out work with the LBE Letting Officer supporting.

You will then run the patch and the experienced Letting Officer will move on to a different area. Will cover either UB postcodes or a mixed area of W and UB postcodes.

You will have a void surveyor 'buddy' to work with to progress the properties in the area to Let and would be expected to be in daily contact with them to progress the properties.

You will need to be proactive and have a sense of urgency around assisting the team with the project to Let the properties being innovative in finding ways to overcome barriers whilst the wider transformation team work on implementation of service improvements to the service area.
