Our client manages and rents out some of the most beautiful and exclusive properties in North Norfolk - the kind of house that a lottery winner would have! As they continue to be successful, they have asked Hays to partner with them to recruit a part-time administrator in their Property Maintenance team.
Your new role
Your job will be to manage all the paperwork around maintenance jobs and contractors; making sure that all the accreditations and certificates are in place, that contractors and in-house staff are briefed and aware of new jobs and completion deadlines and, of course, keep the database up to date with all the jobs and their status. You'll also liaise with homeowners to make them aware of issues arising and when certificates need renewing too.
The position is to work 4 days per week (including every other Saturday) from 9am - 5.30pm with half an hour for lunch.
What you'll need to succeed
This job is all about communication - you will need to engage with people from a very wide range of backgrounds, from clients to suppliers to contractors, and you'll need to communicate instructions and pass on news and updates clearly. You will also need to keep the database updates so that your colleagues and manager can continue on with jobs and tasks when you're not there to make sure jobs aren't delayed, so you'll be an expert organiser and prioritiser and comfortable working on Word, Excel, Outlook and databases.
You'll be part of a small team so you will be kept busy and have plenty of responsibility as you'll have your own jobs and clients to look after.
