Property & Place Manager

Are you eager to land a brand new role for the New Year? Our client in North London are looking for an experienced Property & Place Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in their property operations.
Position: Property & Place Manager
Location: West London
Hourly Rate: GBP31 p/h (Umbrella)
Start: ASAP
Duration: 5 months (Possible Extension)

Key Responsibilities

• To have responsibility for the Property & Place Service including Property Procurement, Temporary Accommodation, TA Allocations, and the Refugee Resettlement Programme.
• To ensure a housing procurement strategy is in place which meets the demands for accommodation, ensuring accommodation is procured in a legal, ethical, and accountable manner.
• To be responsible for budget management for the Property & Place Service area forecasting and monitoring budgetary projections to deliver the service within budget.
• Have responsibility for the development of the Housing Procurement Strategy and related policies, through close monitoring of performance against targets.

Job Requirements

• Prior experience in a Property/Place Manager role or equivalent, in a social housing environment or similar.
• Knowledge of the law relating to homelessness, the Code of Guidance and relevant case law, and the ability to apply this knowledge to the provision and management of accommodation.
• Working knowledge of housing law relating to security of tenure and the rights and duties of private rented sector tenants and landlords, including protection from eviction and legal processes.
• The ability to contribute and in some cases lead on strategic and policy Development.
