Property Technician - Required - 1 Day per Week (8 hour shift)
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with great practical or trades skills to work in an interesting, unusual environment. If you're proactive, like working in a varied role and have the skills to help us maintain our building to a high standard, we'd like to hear from you!
The Theatre Royal, Brighton is a popular, busy theatre with over 900 seats, a number of bars. The theatre is a very busy building, and as it is Grade II listed we need to take additional care to maintain it. Working with our Maintenance Technician and the rest of our Technical team, you'll help us do this by carrying out planned projects, reactive maintenance tasks and regular housekeeping, and by helping us maintain the appropriate systems and records. Your tasks might include plumbing, carpentry, decorating or other tasks relevant to your skills.
Previous experience of working in a theatre is not required - we're looking for someone who has the following qualities:
A keen eye for detail.
A proactive approach.
Personable and approachable personality.
High level of practical, trades or ‘DIY’ skills.
