Proposals Development Associate - all levels considered!
Job Summary:
The Proposals Development Associate team will support Business Development in the winning of new business for ICON, organize and prepare high quality customer-focused proposals and budgets for the conduct of clinical trials, and recognize, exemplify, and adhere to ICON's values which center around our commitment to People, Clients, and Performance. This role is an exciting opportunity to join our large Pharma full service team - you can be office based in our Dublin office or our Reading office, or hybrid if preferred.
Job Description:
  • Prepare complex client focused proposals, budgets and client grids for new business opportunities and ensure that the all required information is provided in the final proposal within given timeframe
  • Adhere to the proposal process
  • Attend kick-off and resource meetings and coordinate the participation of appropriate personnel in the proposal development process
  • Set-up and participate in clinical strategy meetings for key/ non-key opportunities
  • Liaise with the appropriate personnel including sales, strategic proposal development and operations throughout the proposal generation to ensure that the proposal and strategy meets the business needs in line with triage priority
  • Prepare costs for proposals by interacting with operational departments to coordinate costs and assumptions
  • Coordinate and participate in negotiations and discussions with clients as required
  • Attend bid defense and other client meetings in a support role when required
  • Coordinate and prepare budgets and specifications for contracts for new business awards (where appropriate) *
  • Clarify contract specifications with the Manager, Proposals; Project Manager; and/or Account Manager (where applicable)
  • Solicit input and review of proposals, budgets and contracts (where applicable) from the relevant operational departments including Manager, Proposals and Account Manager
  • Ability and willingness to travel at least 5% of the time (international and domestic: fly and drive)
Experience and Qualifications required will vary depending on level applied for- we will accept applications from individuals at level I, II, and Senior Level.
