What You Need to Know

You would be joining an outstanding global team that create technical and commercial quotations as per customer enquiries, in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all necessary documentation and company interfaces are maintained to produce attractive proposals resulting in commercially attractive revenue for Proserv.

We welcome applications from those candidates who can work out of one of our UK Proserv Offices (Great Yarmouth, Aberdeen & Glasgow), but we also support remote working with the understanding that we would expect regular travel to one of our Facilities.

Our Key Accountabilities (includes, but not limited to the following)

  • Provide detailed written quotations with emphasis given to the following tasks and in accordance with company s quality procedure.
  • Issue quotations within the specified due date.
  • Identify the bid requirements and confer with team for additional technical resources required to support the complexity of each bid.
  • Generate detailed material lists for all quotation line items which are to be supported by sub-supplier quotations where possible.
  • Provide labour estimates for the engineering, CAD and manufacturing departments.
  • Liaise with Legal team to minimise company exposure and risk on bids.
  • Develop detailed proposal schedules, timelines, plans, milestones and outlines. Manage the tender submission life cycle. Monitor documents to ensure accuracy prior to submittal.
  • Follow up quotations in conjunction with the sales department.
  • Attend bid clarification meetings, both domestically and internationally, as required.
  • Collaborate with Proserv leadership and sales teams throughout proposal duration, from opportunity identification and development of proposal strategy to proposal debrief.
  • Provide required reports to management with status details.
  • Involvement in continuous improvements to best practices and processes in line with the Commercial team and company requirements.

Education & Qualifications

Education

Preferred

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering (or equivalent discipline).

Required

  • Engineering qualification in either mechanical, electrical, controls or energy subject.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement.

Experience & Skills

Experience

Required

  • Proven track record within a Control Systems environment.
  • Proven track record in a Control System design/build related environment.
  • Understanding of automation equipment SCADA/PLC/RTU programming/design.
  • Understanding of electrical/electronic equipment and application
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Design control systems comprising of electrical, electronic, SCADA/HMI, PLC/RTU, among others.
  • Proven track record of an industrial bidding process.
  • Working knowledge of API and ISO standards.
  • Knowledge of automation systems, specifically communication equipment selection/installation.
  • Understanding of hazardous area equipment selection, installation & maintenance.
  • Knowledge of design/manufacture of SIL rated equipment.
  • Involvement in SCADA/PLC manufacturer specific training programs.

This position may, on occasions, involve worldwide travel to attend Customer meetings/presentations; therefore you must hold a valid driving license and valid passport.
