SalaryPertemps Stoke are currently looking to recruit an organised Proposals Engineer with excellent attention to detail for our client based in Newcastle-under-Lyme. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure and to deadlines, a strong team player, and to have good written and verbal communication skills.
Main Duties of this Proposals Engineer role:
- To undertake technical specification, and production, of quotations for machine services and upgrades.
- To project manage quotations and subsequent contracts from sales enquiry through execution to completion of works.
- To ensure that quotations are of good quality and that response time targets are met.
- Review new enquiries, assess priorities, agree priorities with Sales Managers.
- Review requirements of the enquiry (visiting site where needed together with external sales ASM)
- With the assistance of the Service Manager, specify technical solution detailing all parts and works required.
- Produce quotations, obtaining input from Service Manager, Suppliers, Sales Managers.
- Ensure that CRM and ERP systems are maintained up to date.
- Produce work instruction on receipt of order.
- Produce order and invoice documentation.
- Place supplier orders and expedite.
- Prepare work plan for field service and workshop works.
- Communicate with customers for specification and coordination of works.
Skills required for this Proposals Engineer role:
- Mechanical engineering qualifications and experience
- Good organisational skills
