***Propulsion Analysis Engineer (Remote working, Outside IR35)***

Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for an Analysis Engineer - Propulsion to add to their talented, hardworking team on a 6 month contract (extension possible). Striving for innovation and creativity you can ensure no two days will be the same. This role offers fullyremote working with negotiable hourly rate, outside IR35.

The Role


As an Analysis Engineer - Propulsion you will be responsible for:

  • Sizing and stress analysis of propulsion unit structures by means of hand calculations, numerical simulations (FEM) and optimization techniques
  • Create, manage and validate detailed FE models of complete propulsion structures and systems, with responsibility for the full workflow of numerical modelling, solving and post-processing
  • Creation of clear and concise technical reports and documentation

In addition, you will also be reviewing and checking of internal and supplier analysis data.

You
To succeed within the role of an Analysis Engineer - Propulsion, you will have the following skills:

  • Engineering degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field is required
  • 8+ years of experience in Structural analysis, with application to aircraft primary structures and/or engines and pylons
  • Advanced knowledge of stress analysis methods following established standards for CFRP and metallic structures, particularly for complex assemblies
  • Extensive working experience with the commercial implicit FE code OptiStruct, and corresponding pre- and post-processing tools (HyperMesh and HyperView) is a must

In addition, experience in vibration analysis such as modal, harmonic or forced response, random vibration, rotor dynamics would be beneficial.
