WHAT TO EXPECT

We are looking to appoint a talented Senior PVT & Launch Engineer to have the opportunity to support our Propulsion EngineeringPVT & Launch team who are responsible for delivering new models and model year programs on behalf of the Propulsion Engineering department along with delivering the targets set by the business for Propulsion Engineering Quality, contributing to the drive to achieve world class performance levels.

The team operate in an exciting & dynamic environment providing the interface between the Core Propulsion Engineering Team and Manufacturing.  

Here is your chance to part of this team leading the introduction of new model programs and in cycle model year updates into our UK based plants, representing Propulsion Engineering in various forums including LRR, LMM & associated Agile cadence reviews.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Work on resolving engineering issues through data analysis and working with Manufacturing, Centre of Competence, Suppliers, Product Investigation (Service) and Dealers
• Provide support and assistance in all areas with engineering expertise and technical guidance 
• In conjunction with New Model Programme ensure seamless program transitions by Leading the prompt resolution of key customer issues
• Work on product development launch activities to deliver the key launch metrics on the Launch Scorecard
• Work with the Product Development teams to drive the engineering actions required and escalating issues where appropriate to drive resolution
• Support the cross functional teams to launch the Product into major markets to ensure the highest quality product is delivered to markets for Start of Sales

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll also have:

• Knowledge of vehicle Propulsion systems  
• Proven ability to build and manage multiple internal and external relationships
• Capable of working in a reactive environment  
• Experience of problem-solving tools e.g. 6 panel, PPS (8D), FMEA, Robustness, Minitab etc
• Experience of cross functional co-ordination capability in Engineering, Manufacturing, Service
