Serco Defence are currently recruiting for a Propulsion Mechanical Supervisor to join the existing team at RAF Odiham, working in support of the The Chinook Engine Support Arrangement (CESA) contract which ensures provision of serviceable T55 engines and accessories to the RAF Chinook platform at both RAF Odiham and RAF Benson.
Main accountabilities:
- The timely completion of maintenance/tasks as required by the Contract, correct completion of documentation in accordance with the Customers procedures and ensuring that all necessary signatures are completed
- Always ensuring all personnel under their control wear protective clothing and observe COSHH regulations
- Attending courses for further training on specific techniques relevant and necessary to their job as detailed by their Section Supervisor
- Acting as permanent loan holder in accordance with current regulations if required
- Section First Aider/appointed person
- Carrying out of hours support when the need arises
- Forklift Operation (movement of engine STC’s)
- Gold ESP S3
- Carrying out any other tasks within their capability, in support of the Contract, as directed by the Engine Repair Facility Workshop Manager
What you'll need to do the job:
- Engine maintenance within an operational environment
- Ability to work competently in a changeable environment
- Ideally T55 or similar engine experience
