Service Care Legal are recruiting on behalf of a London Borough Council who are seeking a Prosecutions & Licensing Lawyer to join their legal department on a contract basis. Please find below further details with regards to this position.
ROLE: Prosecutions & Licensing Lawyer
LOCATION: North London
CONTRACT: 3 months for potential for extension
RATE: £50.00 to £60.00 per hour umbrella
Please note that this role would be hybrid working and may require attendance at licensing committee meetings.
The Role of the Prosecutions & Licensing Lawyer
To manage and carry a full caseload in relation to complex caseload of Prosecutions and Licensing matters
To work collaboratively with colleagues across services dealing with a wide range of criminal cases prosecuted for the benefit of the residents of the borough
Advising members at licensing committee hearings and defending appeals issued against those decisionsThe Person
A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 2 years' PQE
Experienced in dealing with matters in relation to criminal law within a local authority would be essential
