Prosecutions Solicitor G10
Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Prosecutions Solicitor to join our team at G10 level. As a Prosecutions Solicitor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that justice is served and that those who have committed criminal offenses are held accountable. Your strong legal expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the successful prosecution of cases, and help maintain public safety.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and representing the prosecution in court. You will work closely with law enforcement agencies, witnesses, and victims to build strong cases, and provide legal advice and guidance to colleagues within the organization.
Responsibilities
Represent the prosecution in court, ensuring that the interests of the public are protected.
Conduct legal research to support prosecution cases, ensuring that all relevant laws and regulations are applied.
Draft legal documents such as indictments, witness statements, and legal arguments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal requirements.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to gather evidence and build case files.
Interview witnesses and victims, ensuring that their statements are accurately recorded and protected.
Provide legal advice and guidance to colleagues within the organization, ensuring that all actions comply with legal and ethical standards.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and reports, ensuring that all documentation is organized and easily accessible.
Requirements
A valid law degree and a practicing certificate from a recognized legal jurisdiction.
At least [X] years of experience as a prosecuting solicitor, preferably in [specify area of law].
Excellent knowledge of criminal law and legal procedures.
Strong research and analytical skills.
