PSV Chargehand

Here at The Job People, we are looking for a PSV Chargehand to join our Luton Depot. The role is permanent, and you will be required to work any 5 from 7 rotating AM & PM shifts.

£21.64 per hour - 39 hours per week

To assist the Engineering Manager and Team Leaders with the running of an efficient & effective engineering operation that meets the targets set out by the business and delivers the brand promise "committed to delivering a better service''.

The role as a PSV Chargehand will involve:

• Servicing, maintenance, and repairs to the company and DVSA standards
• Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability
• MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns and quality checks.
• Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA)

Requirements for a PSV Chargehand:

• Level 3 NVQ/IRTEC Qualification (Or equivalent)
• Knowledge of PSV or HGV maintenance
• Knowledge of engineering procedures and Health & Safety legislation
• Inspection of vehicles for the scheduled maintenance - Desirable but not essential
• Electrical circuits and systems knowledge - Desirable but not essential
• A full UK driving licence (6 points or less) - essential
• Ability to be passed fit for a PCV pre-employment medical - essential.
