THE POSITION

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Psychiatrist specialising in Child, Youth, and Adolescent Mental Health Services to join the team in North Queensland on a permanent, part time basis

The primary purpose of the role is to provide an advanced standard of clinical care through the provision of assessment and treatment services to children and young people up to the age of 18 and their families, presenting with mental disorders, alcohol and other drug, emotional and/or behavioural disturbances to facilities within the Health Service, including those being treated under the Mental Health Act (2016).

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Specialist registration or eligible for specialist registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)


• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and/or equivalent specialist recognition.
