About the Role
The purpose of this role is to deliver senior Psychology medical inpatient services within Redland Hospital medical wards, focusing on the new 28-bed medical ward.
This includes:
- Delivering high quality evidence-based Psychology services to medical inpatients within a highly functioning interprofessional team.
- Delivering direct clinical services including clinical assessment including formulation and diagnostics; psychological interventions targeting issues such as interaction between psychological and physical symptoms; adjustment to newly diagnosed medical condition; psycho-education; psychological interventions to enhance patient quality of care and life and patient flow through the hospital system including discharge.
- Contribution to the advancement of quality Psychology services and optimal patient care, through provision of service development, quality improvement, and clinical education.
- Providing supervision and training to less experienced (HP3) clinicians, students and to Allied Health Assistants (AHA's).
