Job description


An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit to our Psychosexual Therapist within the Sexual Health Service. We have permanent funding for a part time Band 7 Psychosexual Therapist and are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced COSRT accredited therapist to our team.
The service is committed to supporting the development of clinical and professional practice in psychosexual therapy. We offer an integrated therapeutic approach taking referrals from healthcare professionals working in primary and secondary care.
The service has adapted and developed during the pandemic and are able to deliver services remotely as well as a face to face offering. Flexible and remote working will continue as part of the service offer.
We work with couples as well as individuals in the service and are always keen to develop services for our clients in accordance with the evidence base and best practice.
The successful applicant will offer assessments and treatment programmes for individuals and couples, referred to our service, with complex sexual and relationship problems.
They will be able to formulate and implement highly complex treatment plans and evaluate the effectiveness of care through recognised structures. Candidates should have the appropriate experience and qualifications in psychosexual medicine and therapy relevant for working with a range of psychosexual issues and presentations.
The successful candidate will also be actively involved in the development, research and educational roles of the service.

The Trust also has a tertiary level Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, enabling 1 in 4 women across Greater Manchester to receive in-utero transfer and birth at extreme premature gestation at Bolton.
