Job description

Part-time with 0.5 FTE Fixed term contract until 31 March 2025 Global Cyber Security Capacity Centre is looking for a Global Engagement and Communications Officer.  Reporting to the Lead of International Operations, and collaborating closely with the Directors, researchers and the Project Coordinator of the GCSCC management, successful candidate will work to generally enhance the communications and outreach activities of the Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team, to assist write, edit and proof-read a variety of communications, including: website and social media content, stakeholder briefings, news items and press releases, promotional materials, presentations and other outputs that may be developed in support of the Centre’s aims.  The post holder will be expected to liaise with communications teams from across the University, specifically including the Department of Computer Science and the Oxford Martin School, to ensure that they have awareness and materials to promote the work of the Centre. They will also be supporting  GCSCC event management, support research staff in the delivery of outputs , contribute to the development and delivery of a programme of stakeholder engagement, working closely with the Directors and the Lead of International Operations, other Centre staff, as well as staff from the regional centres and international partners. The successful candidate must be educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience and have extensive communications experience in print, digital and social media. Having excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills are essential for the role. The post is a part-time (0.5 FTE) fixed term contract to start ASAP.
