Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Pub Cook to lead their kitchen team. The ideal candidate will excel in creating a mix of delicious platters and grills, managing cook-chill operations, and crafting our well-respected Sunday lunches. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and has a strong background in pub cuisine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Develop and execute a diverse menu featuring platters, grills, and traditional Sunday lunches.
- Oversee the cook-chill central kitchen process, maintaining consistency and efficiency.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control kitchen costs.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Cook or similar role in a high-volume pub or restaurant.
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on pub fare and comfort food.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in kitchen operations.
