Job Description
- Leading the development and implementation of Public Affairs and Engagement strategies.
- Managing stakeholder relationships and communicating effectively with a wide range of audiences.
- Overseeing the creation of policy briefings, consultation responses, and other relevant materials.
- Working closely with the policy team to identify opportunities for engagement.
- Ensuring the organisation's views and positions are accurately represented in public discourse.
- Promoting transparency and trust within the organisation and its stakeholders.
- Monitoring and reporting on the impact of engagement activities.
- Supporting team members and fostering a positive work environment.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Public Affairs and Engagement Officer should have:
- A degree in a relevant field such as Communications, Public Relations, or Political Science.
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a policy team.
- A strong understanding of the public sector and its key stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to develop and implement effective engagement strategies.
- Experience in managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Experience of working in transport policy will be helpful.
