An exciting opportunity has arisen to undertake the role of Public Disclosure Officer within the Public Disclosure Team. The role is offered as full-time position within a growing and increasingly important Information Management Department for a duration of 12 months from the contract start date.
This is a challenging role that requires the successful candidate to review and progress requests and directions for the disclosure of information/material received by Kent Police under relevant disclosure gateways (for example, disclosure to other public bodies, the Freedom of Information Act and under data protection legislation), ensuring that high standards are maintained, and responses are delivered within the required timescales.

  • Ability to prioritise workloads in order to meet legislative timescales
In addition, it will be desirable for the successful candidate to be able to demonstrate:
  • An understanding of the force structure
  • A practical understanding and experience of applying both data protection and freedom of information legislation
This opportunity would suit a highly-motivated and dynamic individual who can bring their wide experience and knowledge to an increasingly important role within our organisation.
