The role of Regional and In Memory Giving Manager reports into the Interim Head of Fundraising and is accountable to the Interim Associate Director of Income Generation. The post holder will be responsible for the management of the Regional Fundraising team, the engagement, campaigns and income lines they are responsible for in addition to the management of our In Memory and Legacy giving.
The post holder will be responsible for the development of a strong connection between the fundraising team and the charitable beneficiaries of our service, working through our clinical delivery teams. They will develop a meaningful supporter care journey that sensitively and effectively informs our patient’s families of ways to support St Giles through giving in memory of a loved one. They will also be responsible for producing a legacy marketing strategy that addresses public engagement of leaving a gift in a Will.
The post holder will develop and deliver an in memory and legacy proposition that bridges the gap between the end of clinical care and the point in which the family/supporter becomes a lifelong donor of St Giles Hospice. The post holder will recognise the importance of creating a culture in which fundraising via In Memory and Legacy income streams is intrinsic to a family journey with St Giles, recognising that in memory of giving can be critical to the grieving process and having the infrastructure to support families who wish to write or change a Will is an important part of the holistic and practical support offered by the hospice. This will require key relationship building with staff, patients, families and supporters.
In both areas, the post holder will lead on and deliver a strategy for development and growth in both income and engagement, within the existing portfolio while proactively assessing and delivering new opportunities.
The post holder will be an excellent communicator and organiser, responsible for all aspects of team leadership, engagement and campaign management, including marketing, participation, risk assessments, budget management and donor engagement.
You will have the ability to lead a positive culture amongst peers, secure and build relationships internally and externally across corporate, public sector, creative and education sectors. You will have an ability to work effectively under your own initiative as well as collaboratively within a team.
At St Giles Hospice our vision is a world where everyone has fair access to specialist palliative and end of life care. This is a diverse role working with adaptable and dedicated teams that put the heart of our patients and families at the centre of all that they do.
