The Public Health team within East Riding Council are recruiting to a Public Health Senior Officer to support Public Health Leads – Health Improvement, with the coordination and implementation of Public Health activities including the procurement process and contract management of services.
The successful candidate will support across a range of Health Improvement activities including delivery planning, development and implementation of policies, protocols, procedures and guidelines and providing advice and guidance.
They will work as part of a multidisciplinary Public Health team and be required to work closely with external partners and key stakeholders to ensure health needs are met within the community.
The successful candidate will require experience in project management and working to tight deadlines. They also need an understanding of evaluating projects and working within the councils policies. The successful candidate will need to have extensive knowledge about our local area and health and wellbeing throughout the life course. They will need to be able to interpret health needs and be able to write reports and business cases.
Applicants must therefore have an understanding of the governments, Public Health England and other public bodies’ agenda around Public Health and Health Improvement.
