We are looking for a full-time Public Health Support Officer, working on children and young people’s emotional wellbeing and mental health. Working closely with the Integrated Care Board and local system partners to deliver Nottingham and Nottinghamshire’s Joint Local Transformation Plan for Children and Young People’s Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health, we aim to further improve access to services and address increasing demand, whilst meeting the individual needs of young people. You will help us to achieve this by supporting the commissioning of Public Health services across the Integrated Care System. We are looking for someone educated to degree level or with equivalent experience and knowledge of Public Health work who understands the role that social, economic, and environmental factors can play in health. With a passion for improving health, you will use your excellent project management skills to manage and deliver Public Health projects. You will have a flexible approach to be able to adapt to specific work areas, as well as have experience of working with a wide range of partners.
In return, we are committed to your personal development, and offer an excellent benefits package. Nottinghamshire County Council also has an NHS Pension Direction Order in place, which means that we are able to provide ongoing access to the NHS Pension Scheme (NHSPS) where we recruit eligible new joiners to Public Health roles who are already in the NHSPS.
