A vacancy exists for a Publications Administrator based at the Union's Head Office.

The principal duties are: under the direction of the Publications Officer, to assist and support the proofreading process of all Union publications, magazines and digital content including web pages, e-books, video subtitles, online courses and e-newsletters; evaluate content to determine compliance with standards eg photo quality, copyright laws and regulations; amend and rewrite content as necessary; support the Publications Officer on special projects.
The successful applicant will possess: experience in providing editorial input to publications; knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), email, the internet and Adobe Creative Software and capability to learn new IT skills/new software packages and be able to use social media; the ability to proof read and edit, with accuracy and attention to detail; the ability to work without direct supervision when required and be able to handle several projects simultaneously to meet agreed deadlines; the ability to respond to change and be adaptable and flexible to the changing needs of the job and the Union; a willingness to on occasion work outside of normal office hours in order to meet design, print and digital media deadlines.
