This job is due to the company establishing a night shift in our facility. There will be a shift allowance on top of the basic hourly rate of £12.25 which is £2.25 per hour. Salary of £30,160 inclusive of Shift Allowance.
We are seeking a skilled Punch Operator to join our team. As a Punch Operator, you will be responsible for working with sheet metal to produce metal components on our Trumpf TruPunch Machine. Be able to operate and set the machine.
Shift times - Monday to Thursday 4pm to 2:30am. 25 minute lunch break and an early and later 10 minute break. 30 minutes of the break times will be unpaid.
Key tasks
- Operate and set Trumpf TruPunch machine.
- Health and safety aware.
- General upkeep of the machine shop and premises to aid with the smooth running of the facility.
- Ad hoc duties as and when required.
- Complete job cards
Key Attributes
- CNC Machine experience is essential.
- Forklift truck license would be beneficial.
- A willingness to learn new skills, be hard working and a great work ethic.
- Effective communication and positive relations with employees at all levels within the organisation and external contacts including customers and suppliers.
- Be competent at working alone or as part of a team.
- Must have previous experience working as a CNC Machine Operator or have previous Sheet Metal or Machine Operation experience.
- The ability to interpret Engineering drawings, be able to work out a bending sequence and write a programme, have the ability to select the correct tooling and be able to Set and Operate the machine.

- Be aware of all Company policies and Health and Safety procedures and practices.
