£15,925 - £16,828 (27.5 Hours per week, Term-time only)

Letham Primary School are looking for a Pupil Support Assistant to join our team!
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a highly skilled and supportive staff team, to meet the needs of all learners within school.
The role is a varied one but main responsibilities include:
- Supporting children with a wide range of additional support needs to access their mainstream curriculum.
- Working alongside teaching staff and other school staff.
- Working closely with partners including health, speech and language and occupational therapy as well as parents and carers.
- Playground supervision and other duties as required.
The Individual
The successful candidate will have experience of working with young children. The successful candidate should also be calm, able to think on the spot, resilient, nurturing and patient.
Ideally you will have experience of supporting children who may struggle to regulate their emotions and behaviour.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate flexibility in approaches to support the staff team and our families.
You will be hard working, well organised, flexible, caring and committed to improving the life of the school and the people who work in it.
You will work well as part of a team and also be able to take initiative and manage yourself, and your work, efficiently and effectively.
You will promote high standards and maintain positive partnerships.
We pride ourselves on the supports which we offer children and the successful candidate should be willing to undergo training required to deliver specific interventions and approaches to meet learner needs.
