Pupil Support Assistant
Northgate is a vibrant, multi-cultural primary school situated very close to Crawley town centre. We are a growing school with 660 children on roll currently including a Specialist Support Centre (SSC) for children with hearing impairment and a further 39-place maintained Nursery. The school has recently been graded as ‘good’ by Ofsted.
We are seeking to appoint a Pupil Support Assistant to work in our Nursery class who can work alongside our current Nursery team to offer support for our children to help meet their specific learning needs. Applicants will need to be competent in English and mathematics, a GNVQ level 2 or 3 in childcare and will need to share our commitment to ensuring that every child achieves their full potential. An interest and/or experience in supporting children with Autistic Spectrum Condition or children with trauma and attachment difficulties would be a significant advantage.
Working hours are term time only; 3 days a week, Wed-Friday
Previous experience of working in a similar position is desirable but not essential.

Salary: West Sussex Grade 3 plus Crawley weighting
£20,812 to £21,189 pro rata
