Medlock Partners are partnering with a fast-growing award-winning group of companies with their search for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their Finance team in a highly transactional role.
This is a fantastic opportunity suitable for a system driven and IT savvy candidate that has experience working with multiple entities or in a multisite environment. A tight workflow with strict processes requires excellent communication and organisational skills to ensure business requirements are met in a timely and effective manner.
Key responsibilities of the Purchase Ledger Clerk:
- Efficiently handle supplier invoices, collecting necessary documentation, securing approvals, and accurately assigning nominal and department codes.
- Utilise the company s accounting system to upload batches of invoices to ledger accounts.
- Conduct thorough reconciliations of supplier statements and generate reports for outstanding invoices on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Ensure that appropriate purchase orders and receipts are recorded within the system Process expense forms according to company guidelines.
- Arrange and prioritise payment runs to sustain seamless business operations, adhering to established schedules whenever feasible.
- Issue remittances and record bank payments.
- Manage a dynamic email account for accounts-related inquiries, serving as the primary contact for the broader finance department.
- Ensure key supplier account reconciliations are carried out on a regular basis.
- Organise and schedule workflows meticulously to ensure timely completion of tasks and maintain full control over the Purchase Ledger department.
