Job description

Our client are one of the largest and fastest growing wholesale suppliers of commercial vehicle parts in the UK, and have been established since 2010.

Due to continued growth they are looking for a Product Development Specialist who understands and has experience within the commercial vehicle parts industry.

Requirements:

  • Must have knowledge of the commercial vehicle/ trailer parts/ automotive industry in a product/ purchasing/ sales environment.
  • Negotiating skills.
  • Must be confident speaking and liaising with suppliers both face to face and over the phone.
  • Good level of computer skills
  • Organised and punctual
  • Excellent work ethic- bringing something to the team

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the business with their product development programme
  • Liaising with current and future suppliers about their parts requirements
  • Managing suppliers to maintain our excellent service and availability levels
  • Analysing parts requirements using our in-house system and suggesting/ placing orders with suppliers
  • Meet suppliers face to face and travel to exhibitions (this could include overseas travel)

Package:

  • Up to 40,000 (doe)
  • 24 day holiday + bank
