  • Job Title: Purchasing Coordinator
  • Location: Eastbourne
  • Hours: 08.30hrs - 17.30hrs Monday - Thursday
  • 08.30hrs - 1630hrs - Friday
  • 1 hour for lunch
  • Salary Expectation: Up to £28k (DOE)

HRGO Recruitment are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join our client's team as a Purchasing Coordinator.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the procurement process, ensuring the timely and efficient acquisition of materials and supplies needed for our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge and technical understanding of Supply Chain management processes and be familiar with estimating, and procurement solutions and experience ideally working within a print environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating pricing, and placing purchase orders for materials and supplies.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies to meet production schedules and customer demands.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs to prevent stock-outs and minimise carrying costs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchase orders, invoices, and other procurement-related documentation.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and cost-effective Supply Chain management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies and policies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in Supply Chain management processes to identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years, current or very recent, proven experience in a Supply Chain management or Procurement environment, advantage in print environment.
  • Proven experience in a purchasing or Procurement role.
  • Strong knowledge and technical understanding of Supply Chain management processes.
  • Computer literate.
  • Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning), estimating, and procurement solutions.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Contract management and supplier experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
