SalaryOur client are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Purchasing Lead. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in procurement, supply chain management, and vendor relations. This key position will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing their procurement strategy, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement a comprehensive sourcing strategy to ensure the cost-effective acquisition of materials, products, and services while maintaining high quality and on-time delivery.
Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with agreed-upon terms.
Cost Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and payment conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings and improve overall profitability.
Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and finance, to ensure alignment of purchasing activities with overall business goals.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve purchasing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and optimize inventory levels.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. (preferred)
CIPS Diploma
Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role, with a track record of successful negotiations and cost savings.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
