Purchasing / Procurement Officer - Ballymena - Permanent

About the role:
- This is a full-time permanent position based in Ballymena
- Monday – Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm, weekends off
- £Negotiable salary, dependent on experience
- 29 days annual leave
- Company pension scheme
As the Purchasing Officer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the accurate and timely completion of all purchasing activities. Key areas of focus day to day will include:
- Purchase Orders
- Imports
- Supplier Price Maintenance
- Stock Management
Criteria:
- A minimum of 2 years previous experience in a buying/procurement role.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills to achieve the best price with suppliers.
- Strong organisational skills, a good understanding of sourcing and the ability to maintain supplier relationships.
- Excellent IT skills including MS Excel and preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
- Pro-active in decision making with keen problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and best practices.
- Knowledge of Trader Support System
