Location: Luton, UK

Salary: £40,000 to £42,000 per annum

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Hours: Monday to Friday (9am – 5pm), No weekends, 30 Minute Lunches

Purchasing & Quality Control Executive– The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity that has recently arisen with the chance to be fully involved with many varied tasks in the role. We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive well organised team player. No prior knowledge of the product is required, and full training will be provided.

Purchasing & Quality Control Executive– Key Responsibilities:

- Developing and implementing purchasing strategies

- Managing daily purchasing activities

- Managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines

- Maintaining the supplier database, approved supplier list, purchase records, and related documentation

- Effectively communicate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to address and resolve stock-related issues promptly and accurately

- Stock control and logistics

- Managing the maintenance of testing equipment and machinery

- Quality inspection and testing on products to ensure that they meet required standards

- Support with evaluation of potential new suppliers along with product development

- Responsible for the ongoing requirements of ISO9001 Quality Management System

- Attending supplier visits in the UK and overseas

- Working to improve purchasing systems and processes

- Any other related tasks that may arise as required to support the Business

Purchasing & Quality Control Executive– You:

- Educated to Degree level would be ideal however this is flexible depending on experience

- Experience in Purchasing would be ideal

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (good level of Excel essential) and an understanding of Sage Line 50 would be an advantage and general IT skills

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills

- A technical mindset would be ideal

- Strong planning and organizational skills

- Ability to work independently

- A positive, enthusiastic approach to work
