Purchasing Specialist
Annual Salary: £30,000 to £40,000
Location: Colchester

We are seeking a Purchasing specialist to join our procurement and purchasing team. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop their career in international trade and Maintenance Repair and Operations (MRO) purchasing. The position is fast-paced and requires a proactive individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to negotiate effectively.
Day-to-day of the role:
Obtain pricing from suppliers and manage day-to-day procurement-expediting of goods and services.
Negotiate on price and terms of business with suppliers.
Prepare quotations for customers and handle customer service-related duties.
Place and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and quality of products.
Collaborate with internal sales teams to meet customer requirements and achieve sales objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Demonstrable confidence and a strong work ethic.
Experience in a related role within procurement, purchasing, or internal sales.
Experience in the Engineering or Logistics industry is beneficial.
Foreign language skills may be of benefit.
Own transport is essential for travel to and from the workplace.
